Maybe explain to him why you two didn't work out in the first place. Also, rem. what its like to be the one in love and have your heart broken. Don't be to mean and just let him know that it is over but you wish him the best. Hopefully he can get the hint. If not, tell him you are seeing someone else!

stop comminucating, no more calls, email, letters, notes, whatever. when he figures you dont return calls, dont hang out at places you bump into him, then he figures you are either avoiding him or you moved one.
some guys are a bit slow so they will think you are avoiding and they may pursue the reason....thats where you need to say face-to-face that you dont need him in your life.
getting rid of someone requires direct, dont mince words, say it short, direct, and with no reason......you dont need him in your life and dont bother with you anymore.
drawback: he may go into stalking but thats a risk you need to face if has psycho to begin with.

Tell him does he know the word court order and tell him if you have to get one that means everytime he bothers you he goes to jail and after so many times he will stay in jail
