I'm not sure if its to do with you're being pregnant, I'm not sure the animal would realise but although domestic and some big cats are not pack animals, if they live in a family - their pack - they will acknowledge one person as the pack leader or alpha animal and that is apparently you. Bringing food to you (that's what the fish are to a cat) (and mice and other delicious tit bits) could be a way of currying favour with you.
When Jet was younger, I used to find mice heads outside the back door. He'd eat the rest of the poor unfortunate rodent but leave the 'best' bit for me. Now he's nearly 14, he's just a grumpy old man and if I want fish I can just go and jolly well catch it myself.

The real question is where does the cat get the fish! And what do you do with them? Poor fish!
You have a very generous cat who is a good provider :-)

This is simpally a sign of love, trust and he is showing you he is smart and that he can look after himself. My kitten once bought in a live mouse and started letting it go then catching it again i ended up getting it and letting it escape on the field near my house he is only bringing you presents but just ignore it if you keep giving him attencian each time he dose it he will think " wen i bring her fish she gives me loads of attension i a boredi will go n get a fish for her!" so just ignore it and he will grow out of it

Your cat is either jealous of the impending stranger to arrive and is buttering you up so you don't forget about him. Or, your cat is happy for you and is maybe proud (like he helped) and is bringing gifts to you and the baby.
Just be sure to say good kitty and thank you ... and be sure someone else cleans up (or chase out) the yuck,it could make you sick!

I'm assuming that this is a cat you are letting roam outside - otherwise - check your aquarium QUICK! You may want to start keeping Kitty indoors to keep the neighborhood animals a bit safer, as well as your cat. Hopefully you won't allow your new baby to roam around outside by itself - why let the cat? Cats can get into fights with other animals, get fleas, other diseases, get run over by cars, the risks are high - keep Kitty indoors please.

Your cat sees you as the dominant being in the household. S/he loves you and wants to show you by bringing you 'gifts'. They are food that s/he has caught, so you will not have to go hunting for food. It's natural.

Coz it loves you... but the big question is, where is he getting the live fish? He may be raiding a neighbor's fish tank or pond. Better see to it or have an irrate neighbor packing death for your poor lovable, well-meaning kitty!

Your cat is just showing you how much he/she loves you by bringing you gifts. It's their own way of saying "I love you"
