I carried around my "Me-Me" until I was like 5. I remember all the details of it, and even when my mom took it away. After numerous attempts of hiding it and me finding it, she threw it away and told me "The Blanket Fairy" came to get it. LOL. I believed her.

Yes. then I got pretty upset, when I discovered it still existed like 15+ years later and was being "handed down", to my nephew, who is now 18 and in College, so ,"Who's Blankey is it now anyway?"...
The really weird thing is I still gotta have my, "Silky", Like a "Satin or silk" edge of a "blankey", that I rub between my thumb and index finger...What? it is soft and I guess "relaxes me", Or comforts me until I get my "Blanky" returned to me...I do the same thing with my "goatee", rub it with my thumb and forfinger/ twist it up...Hmmm, I may never outgrow this...

I kept them for my kids and to see them play with my old toys makes me remember how much fun i used to have with them!! I might have to steal the Blanket fairy story on my little ones!!!!

I didn't, but my sister did. She's 29 and still has it. That blanket's been resewn twice from wear and tear.

Now my daughter has a very special blanket that she likeds to have at all times, she's 3. I wash it once or twice a week but stinks... she loves the smell and comforts herself by rubbing the fringe on her nose.

I did..it was a little yellow one. I don't think I carried it around the whole day, but I do remember having it around alot. My parents didn't have to take it away from me...I used it so much it fell apart!

And even with that huge hole in the middle..I still loved my blankie :)

I never did, but when my 20 month old gets tired he drags around a blanket. He doesn't have a specific blanket though, he'll drag around any blanket. I think it's cute!

Not a blanket, but a green rabbit.

That's a common stage for youngsters to become independent.

My DD had a doll. i ultimately determined it grow to be time to eliminate it at the same time as she sucked a hollow in the foot and the stuffing saved popping out. After being repaired 3 situations already it grow to be sufficient... She grow to be about 15-18 months and on the instantaneous I in trouble-free terms allowed her to sleep with the doll quite of wearing it round each and each and every of the time. She did no longer have any issue with that yet nonetheless needed it to sleep. ultimately I enable her nod off with the doll and then went and took it after she experience asleep. and evidently she forgot about it quite rapidly after that. in my view i imagine the longer (older) a newborn continues to be connected to at least some thing the harder it is going to likely be to split from from it. Do it slowly. it will take position in case you do not make a huge deal about it.
