If you are going to keep beer in metal, you might as well home-brew and store the fruits of you labor in secondhand "Corny" kegs.

Otherwise, if ~buying~ beer, the best tasting brands are pretty much limited to glass bottles.

It depends on how drunk you are.

The drunker you are the longer the old beer will last. It can be expressed in this equation:

Freshness=Blood Alcohol Level + months of beer in fridge
