Scientists have studied this question before and have answered it far better than I could. Previously boiled water and very hot water do in fact heat up and re-boil faster--by mere seconds, it seems.

For timing purposes it really doesn't matter much.
But, for coffee making purposes it actually might: some coffee purists say that using hot or pre-boiled water actually makes the coffee BITTER to the taste, when using a drip coffee maker.
I use very cold water from the tap in mine and prefer it to using heated or leftover boiled water. I prefer it to using bottled water as well, as bottled water has a flat taste to it that water bubbling out of the tap doesn't, to me.

I use hot water for things that I want to boil a lot of water, like for spaghetti. I use col;d water for things that need to have time to heat up while they're wet, like rice. "They" say that the hot water heater concentrates the minerals in the water, but, the cold water has exactly the same minerals in the first place. If you have hard water, minerals are a fact of life. Distilled water is very boring in taste.

warmth or warm water is more beneficial oxygenated than chilly water and would go away a humorous style in maximum meals at the same time as cooking. you need to not even use warmth or warm water for making troublesome boiled eggs because the chilly eggs would crack in the nice and cozy water. they want to warmth up mutually. also, as someone already suggested is the reality that utilising chilly water kills more beneficial bacteria than warmth/warm. For a majority of those causes I continually use chilly water to organize dinner or make espresso or tea.

Hot water will boil faster. Using cold will take longer. just depends on how long you want to wait.

I use cold water, because running hot water lets loose any built up deposits in your pipes. Then boiling would concentrate..

I usually fill my pot with hot water. It takes a lot less time to boil. But whatever you prefer is fine.
