We've been together for 6 years. So i know he wouldnt like some chocolate and a card. Instead, i got him a fishing pole, some catfish bait.. (shrimp something and chicken liver).. is this a good idea?

No it's not cheezy dear - it's a gift that will make him think of you everytime he goes out fishing. It's quite thoughtful, and also practical.

I think that is a great gift!! I think people get too caught up in what "they" would want for a gift instead of thinking of the person who will be receiving the gift. Plus what you got him is totally a "GUY" gift and to him, it will mean more than you ever know!! Good Job!

Have a great day!

ha ha ha my boyfriend loves fishing. I have bought him fishing supplies in the past for Valentine's Day. So if it is, That makes me cheezey too. But for the record he loved it, because it meant something to him. He's in the dog house though if I get bait or a reel.

Well that stinks!

It had better stink if it is a good catfish bait! ;-)

I couldn't think of anything better to give a man than fishing stuff.

Great job.

I think it's good.
It's practical and shows you actually considered his interests when getting the gift and not just gone with the typical, unsuprising chocolate and flowers.

I think it is perfect b/c your getting him something he really wants and will need. Not, something cheesy and annoying like the cliche flowers and candy, guys dont like that stuff anyway. I say much props!!

If he is a fisherman that is a great gift, you might want to get him a fishing license too if he doesnt have one.

Way better than any other gift if he loves to fish.

Commendations for originality.

If he likes fishing, it's a great gift. If he isn't, it wasn't the best
