well it all depends on if the mother and father are going to stay together. and no matter what this will go to court, and the judge will look at the mother, and if she is still living in the same home as the father, and say you let him do this with your child in your house, well then you don't deserve your child. and if she has moved out of the house, then he might let her have custody of the child. but who knows?? i hope this helps gl

CPS will step in until the parents can prove they are able to provide a stable home, are substance free, and that the child will be better off with them than without. That might (probably will) entail a stint at rehab, parenting classes, safety and first aid education and, once the family is in the system, someone will always be watching out for the child. Thank goodness for that.

Do whatever you have to do to turn your life around. You have a child. You owe that child the best life you can give it. Doing drugs is selfish. It's all about you. You gave up the right to be selfish like that the instant that child was conceived. Get your child back, if you can. Lose the father if he won't change.

It depends on several things.Has the child ever been taken away before or has the parents lost any other children to the state. What was the nature of the accident ,what were the child's injuries and how severe were they. The possibilities are endless. If the parents are considered unfit after an investigation eventually the child will be released by the state for adoption. You really should talk to a family law attorney or at least a paralegal whom specialized in family law.
