My dog sometime vomits up the yellowish spit too. She is twelve and has done it every now and then since she was a pup. She goes and eats some grass to help make herself sick when she has an upset stomach. I don't think it is anything serious. The fact that she isn't eating well is more concerning, I haven't had this problem with my dog. I think your dog probably just has an upset stomach and there is nothing to worry about as long as she is eating well, looks healthy and dosn't become too thin. If she begins to loose condition then it could be something that needs more investigation.

I think your vet is stupid. How does he know what your dog is thinking about? Did he even run any tests?
You need a new vet, and not some whacko who thinks he can read a dog's mind. And you need a new vet right away, before your poor dog gets even sicker.
And then you should report your vet to the state medical boards. It's not normal for a dog to always be sick, especially on an empty stomach.
Your dog's thinking about food? That's the stupidest thing I've heard on here in a long, long time.

My friend has a dalmatian with the same problem! They took their dog, Dakota, to the vet. The vet said that Dakota has a disorder in his stomach. I t also depends on the age of your dog too because Dakota is almost 100 years old in dog years. So you need to decide if your dog is older or not. If your dog is still young then you should take it to a different vet to find out the real problem. Your vet is wrong and if your dog is old than it too probably has a stomach disorder. One thing they do to keep him alive is they buy a special type of dog food. It costs fifty bucks but it is better than to have your dog die and it is also a big bag. Good Luck! And I hope you can figure out your dogs disorder!

Have you tried feeding him a bland diet? Boil some chicken and see how he does with that. They also sell special food for dogs that is bland and easy to digest. Does your dog have any toys that have treats on them? My dog throws up sometimes when she plays with toys like that. If you don't trust your vet you can always take him to another and get a second opinion.

I used to own a jack russel. Her diet mainly consisted of letter/newspapers, carpet and shoes. She was rarely sick but often constipated. The sight of a dog "passing" a slipper at the local park sure raises a few eyebrows. Have you tried any of these in your dogs diet?

I feed my Jack Nutro Natural High Energy, the only time he has tummy frouble is when he gets hold of too much people food. I don't think dogs think about their food like people do...I'd suggest you just try some different kinds of food and see which one your Jack prefers.

Get another vet. And see if you ca n find a kind of food that won't mess with his digestion. It sounds like you have a very sick dog.

I had a kitten which did this and when I took it to the vet he found its esophagus wasn't formed properly and sadly it had to be put to sleep. I'd go to a different vet and get a second opinion if I was you!

Try giving him some pepto and see if that helps at all. I would find a different vet whether the pepto works or not. If it doesn't help, defiantly take him to a different vet.Good Luck.
