i had been hurt twice on that part n some times it pains though it is resistble, what r the remedies for this pain? is it harmful for me?

No, it's not harmful, just painful.
It's called the coccyx & is left over from evolution.
If you con't to have pain have some Shiatsu done in this area to relieve the pain or treat with ibuprofen.
You can't put your tail bone in a cast. :)

The tailbone has no use. It is believed to be left over from some evolution happening. Just as the appendix has no real use.

That is known as the coccyx bone. I suppose if you believe in the theory that humans came from apes, that is where our tail used to be before we began walking upright. Not sure how they correct problems with this though. Check with your doctor.

As I recall from school we were told this was a vestigal tail. See your doctor for a referral to a specialist. I doubt that it is "harmful" but will certainly be painful.

the significance of the end of your tailbone (your cocyx or sacrum) is to remind you to be a better person. i think that falling on it is a punishment for sin, it has to be! It hurts sooo bad!

its called you coccyx , you may have fractured. go see an orthopedic doctor and they can give you options how how to treat the pain
