My question is don't I have the right to bring my brother back? He was born here (Kansas) and our dad is no longer in the picture. He is with my grandma now. What can I do?

Well I don't have much information to work with. Are you an adult and are you in a position financially as well as emotionally to care for a child? How does your grandmother feel about you wanting your brother to live with you? Is there someway you could work out joint custody? Maybe you could move closer to your grandmother and brother.

How old is this brother and does he want to move here with you? Six years with his grandmother is a long time he might not want to leave her and what he is use to now. As his sister I don't think you have any right unless you try for custody. Maybe you could see if he could just come for a visit and find out what he wants. Or go see him yourself. Why did he not come back when you and your other brother did. You didn't say where you stayed or who took care of you and your brother.

Wow tough question, but i think you can fight for custody of your brother, and if you get it then he will live with you. but your going to need all of the documents stating he was born in the US so make sure you have them. your best be would be to get ahold of a laywer and see what they say! you might have to pay for them to talk to you so be prepared! gl i hope this helps

If you can prove he was born here and can get the birth certificate you should have no problem getting him back!
