A salmonella infection generally causes nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea (sometimes bloody), fever, and headache. Because many different kinds of illnesses can cause these symptoms, most doctors will take a sample of stool to make an accurate diagnosis.
Symptoms of most salmonella infections usually appear within 2 days of contamination and typically go away without any medical treatment.
In cases of typhoid fever caused by salmonella bacteria, early symptoms are the same. But in the second week, the liver and spleen can become enlarged, and a distinctive "rose spotted" skin rash may appear. From there, the infection can cause other health problems, like meningitis and pneumonia.
Odds are that nothing will happen to you. The above scenario applies mainly to small kids and old folk.

It is unlikely that you will get salmonella as the vast majority of birds are vaccinated against the disease nowadays. What you could get is a dose of campylobacter diarrhea which is caused by bacteria from the chicken's gut infecting the meat after the chicken is butchered. In this case you will be rather ill, I'm afraid. If you DO get diarrhea you should drink plenty of water and you may need antibiotics. In most cases it will dissappear after a couple of days.
That said, you may get nothing. Uncontaminated chicken meat will not make you ill at all, so dont get too het up, you might just be lucky!

"-abdominal pains and diarrhoea for days at a time. However, it can have even more severe effects on the old, young and those with weakened immune systems, occasionally resulting in death."
So you might as well just drink a lot of whiskey to make sure those little germy bastards are dead, or too drunk to do anything because if they're in there, you'r gonna want to rip your stomach out. Good Luck!

Chances are you'll be just fine. But, just in case, you'll feel nauseaus and might have the runs and/or throw up. If its more serious, you could develop a fever. Stock up on some Gator Ade and take some Vitamine C. And call your doctor if you start running the temp.

Let me just say, you will need to be sure you have a tras can with a trash bag in it, in your bathroom! Good luck. Remember even if you are vomitting and have diarhea, keep clear fluids in as much as possible. Dehydration is a worry.

You might get stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting...or most likely, you will be fine and not get sick. Drink a lot of water to try to flush it out of your system fast.
