Ringworm is a fungus, you get it from contact with the fungus from another person. It isn't highly contagious but it is contagious.
An over the counter antifungal cream or ointment is the usual treatment for ringworm, except for tinea capitis, which is much more difficult to treat and often requires several months of an oral medication (like Griseofulvin).
Prescription topical creams, suspensions and lotions are also available, like Loprox, Spectazole and Oxistat are also available.

You have to see a doctor.

Ringworm is a very contagious fungus infection that can affect the scalp, the body, the feet (athlete's foot), or the nails.

People can get Ringworm from: 1) direct skin-to-skin contact with an infected person or pet, 2) indirect contact with an object or surface that an infected person or pet has touched, or 3) rarely, by contact with soil.

Ringworm can be treated with fungus-killing medicine.

To prevent Ringworm, 1) make sure all infected persons and pets get appropriate treatment, 2) avoid contact with infected persons and pets, 3) do not share personal items, and 4) keep common-use areas clean.

Ringworm is a fungus. It commonly appears as a "ring-like" rash on the skin. The outer edges may be very slightly raised and red or pink in color while the inner portion of the lesion is lighter in color. It is itchy and spreads easily.

Ringworm is treated with antifungals like Tinactin or other over-the-counter meds that treat athlete's foot. For stubborn cases of ringworm, prescription meds may be needed.

I had it and no pets either so it is in the air and go to dermatologist and they will give you some meds and it will go away.
