Is there any web sites where you can look up a car history for free? I have been to a few sites that say "free" but turns out you do have to pay!! Thanks

I have looked at it also and never found any. Normally I can find a needle in a haystack on the internet. There aren't any.

If there were, CARFAX would have a heart-attack and have to adjust for competetive reasons.

It depends how much it's worth to you actually.. $24.95 for unlimited searches (1 month) isn't horrible. I just broke down and paid it. What the hell.
