If you're a first time dog owner you might want to get a Lab. Labs are really, really to train! This is a good dog for a first time dog owner. If you're looking for a lazy dog that doesn't need a lot of energy a Lab is perfect. If you're the kind of person who runs outside everyday then you could get a herding dog. A Border Collie, Sheltie, Collie, etc. Labs need lots of love. If you get one, when you go to work put it in a crate so it doesn't chew. Dog's chew when their owners leave them because they miss you so much. If you can take it everywhere you can get a terrier. They bark a lot! You may not want to live in an apartment with one of those! If you get a dog from the animal shelter or pound beware! They are most likely strays who got dropped off. They could also be abused. Never throw anything, or correct it until you've bonded with it because it might bite you! Remember! Hunting dogs like the blue tick, etc. (Any scent dog) need lots of excercise. Hope this Helps! Maybe go to a dog show and watch a few to see how they react to their owners.

This would depend upon the use or purpose of getting a dog. Different breeds are bred for differing purposes. If you want a good dog that is patient with young children, try a golden retriever.

there are several breeds of dog that are very intelligent and affectionate.... however, it may shock you to know that the healthiest and strongest dogs are usually those that are mix breed, or mutt. This is because after long lengths of breeding a purebred, the offspring begin to inherit all the defaults of the breed, such as, cockers with heart conditions, and goldens with hip problems.......

The more desirable stressful the artwork, the more desirable they prefer it. they're particularly hard. i visit't allow you to recognize the way many situations mine were kicked and bit by technique of horses and headbutted by technique of bulls and they save going thoroughly unphased.

Shelties, or Shetland Sheep dogs are very loyal and very intelligent. They love to play, go for walks and can be trained to not be very vocal. Their bark sounds like a bigger dog. They are good with kids. but as puppies will want to heard them when they run around.
Everyone has a favourite and will tell you that their favourite is the best.

I love Beagles, Golden Retrievers and German Sheperds. I've never owned the last two, though. Hope I was helpful.
