The only marks on his record were minor in consumption, and a probation violation. He didn't go to a meeting. Then. He got arested or burglery and theft. He had about 1000 worth of stuff...his bond is 1100 and you dno't get a cent back. I don't know...does anyone know how long they'll keep him? Or have any advice?

if he was arrested on probabtion, i know in FL they can only put you in jail for the remainder of his probation. however, the new burglary charges (depending on felony or not) can keep him in there from anywhere from 6 months or longer...pray for the best.
and keep your head high. when he goes to court, try to get as much support there for him as possible. it will help out alot, trust me.

Was he still on probation when he got arrested?
If so, and given that burglary is a serious offense, especially residential burglary, he will go to the big house for at least a year. Worse, if he was on probation with a suspended sentence.

burglary- 3-15 years-felony
theft charge 1-3-felony
both should run together
plus if he is on probation then he will have to do the time he is on probation for also.

This person you are talking about needs to go to jail. He obviously can not follow the rules of society. Sounds to me like the judge gave him a chance to redeem himself and he screwed that up. It's his own fault. I have a friend who's brother robbed a liquor store, and he went to the pen for 5 years. I guess it depends on what kind of mood the judge is in that particular day when your friend goes before him/her to plead his case.

I really hope you are talking about family (as in blood relative, not spouse)...only because you can't pick them and family will always be family.
If you are talking about a boyfriend or husband...then I agree with the others who say, run...as fast and far as you you can...don't look back or he'll suck the life out of you.
Good luck.
