There's a lot of questions to be asked of you to find your solution. Did something happen that made you feel bad? Do you have depression/anxiety or think you do? Are you sleep deprived? Frustrated? I sound like a commercial but really I'm an RN with lots of psych experience especially with young women and girls. Take slow deep breaths and center yourself and have a nice cool glass of water for starters.

It could definitely be a sign of depression. If you think that is it you should see about going to a counselor and getting some medication. I use to do that sometimes, too.
All of the other suggestions are good too. Depression is just the only reason I've personally delt with.

Maybe PMS, Pregnancy, depression, or just regular ol' february blues. Winter blues.
Try getting outside, and drink plenty of milk. You need Vitamin D.
Talk to you friends or family and try and shake this feeling. Get out of the house and take a walk. that's the best thing you can do.

Do you have PMS? I always cry and can't figure out why a few days before my period. Also when I get depressed sometimes I cry and can't figure out why. If this keeps going on or happens often, you may want to talk to someone close or a counselor about it.

your young, living with your ex, and it is valentines day, add to that unhappy mix any other stresses and that is plenty of reasons to cry. Just let it happen and when it is done it is done... a build up of emotion will make you want to cry.. Please don't go running to a doctor for medication just because you have some feelings that need expressing. Crying wont hurt it will help.

It's impossible to give you an answer without knowing your lifestyle, or age. I'd look at what you ate yesterday or this morning. Your age and hormone levels could have something to do with it.

How old are you? If you are over 45 you could be going through menopause. If you just had a baby you could be going through post partum depression, or you could just be depressed. Maybe you should seek help?

Perhaps it's just stress or depression. Obviously something is seriously troubling you and crying is your body's way of releasing tension.
