Whatever they decide. They may hyphenate both their last names (for instance if John Smith and Jack Doe are getting married, their new last name will be Smith-Doe). They may pick one or the other to be both their last names. Or they may keep their own last names. When a man and a woman get married, it's also their decision. No one says that the woman has to take the man's name. I know women who are married who keep their last names.

In a gay bar you must never ask if you can push someone's stool in! Homos don't drive any faster than 68mph, because at 69 they blow a rod!

Right, here goes. Words [names] for a gay person. They come in all sorts, here in London, the traditional Cockney rhyming slang for a gay person is an IRON. That's IRON HOOF = POOF. There's also PUFTAH, and QUEER. Also from Cockney rhyming slang, GINGER - as in GINGER BEER = QUEER.
There are probably lots more, many very offencive. If yo were to call someone a GINGER at school, they'd probably have no idea what you meant, unless they thought you thought they had GINGER hair.
For safety and to be non-officensive, stick to : -
GAY
IRON
GINGER
can't get done for that!

You must be doing the research at school or some place that has blocked this information from you. If this is truly a research project, the school librarian can help you lift the ban and get the information you need. You may want to use library books. Research might be needed in other sources--- Look for the pink triangle.

Human beings.
And grannygrunt the reason why the school is teaching it is evident by the answers of some of the more ignorant people that have answered this question. The more we educate about these things the less likely abuse and cruelty will be continued and spread.
And people just because you do not agree with homosexuality, does not give you the right to be abusive or cruel to someone who is not like you. If you don't agree then just don't agree and leave it alone. Grow up.

The PC crowd can't figure out that your project is probably about discrimination of homosexuals and you need the words for examples of this. LMAO at 'liberal acceptance.'
Male homosexuals: gay, ***, mo, queen, queer, pole-smoker, fudge-packer, fairy, twink
Female homosexuals: lesbian, dyke, carpet-muncher

Your school computers are probably set up to block any site that uses the word sex more than X number of times, even if the site scholarly and not pornographic. Ask the librarian for help, they can point you to the most helpful sites, ones that present unbiased research and not personal rantings.
