Why do you think someone is always referring to men as dogs?
They are hunters. They love the conquest. Don't give it to them.
If you do then its like finding a dead animal. Its not fresh. Where has it been? Should you eat it? You know the drill. If you care about the person make him work for it. If you don't care it doesn't matter. Women fall in love with people they shouldn't because they have sex too soon. Find out what they're like first and that takes more than 3 dates.

Seriously not all guys are like that. Just be patient. Also make sure you are not being a tease. Some women will lead a guy on with false flrtations and then act like it meant nothing. If you talk the talk then guys tend to think you want to follow up. I'm not saying that is right or wrong just be careful of the kind of signals you are purposefully or subconsciously sending out.
