Unlikely that you'll find someone to organise a visa for you, you're only an IT manager - hardly a hard-to-find-skill; with all due respect.

Check out www.seek.com.au best job site but if you are on holiday maybe you should decide where is the best place to holiday first. BUT most worthwhile vacancies wont look at you unless you can show a work permit. Do it right, or you may get deported and stuff your future chances of emigrating here if you like the place. I had to wait close on 3 years to get in in 85

Sydney and Melbourne are the 2 biggest cities (followed by Brisbane then Perth) and as such you have a greater chance of securing work there. In addition, most of the bigger Australian companies are headquartered in either Sydney / Melbourne.

The best job sites in Australia are:

Don't forget that a "tourist" cannot look for work in Australia - it is a breach of visa conditions.

The correct visa to apply for is a Business ETA which is available from http://www.eta.immi.gov.au - you will need to select "business" rather than "tourist" to ensure you are granted the correct visa.

The other thing I can recommend is scanning copies of your employment references and qualification certificates and saving them on your yahoo account - that way if you are successful in obtaining a job offer you will have all the docs for your visa at hand.

Best of luck!

The strongest IT job market in Australia is in Sydney.
Have a good look around North Sydney and North Ryde.

Try Melbourne - I did and now I live here (o:

I asked an advisor while I was considering the idea and they recommended Melbourne or Brisbane for IT managers - the market is less buoyant in Sydney as more people go there...

Good luck!
