Sorry to say, but I think you have a problem and so did the Dr that gave you vicodin for headaches! When a person has severe headaches such as a migraine- they don't prescribe vicodin. They might have prescribed it, if it were due to a concussion or accident that caused pain. If you really have such bad headaches find yourself another Dr that can recommend diagnostics to find the root of the problem.

A physician will not continue to prescribe vicodin since it an addictive narcotic. You need to get to the cause of your heads. If you get migraines there is quite a few medications that are not narcotics that you can take that will most likely work better than the vicodin. Ask your doctor if there is any medicine available for the types of headache you have. Continually asking for narcotics will only cause the physician to NOT prescribe it. Good luck!

Ask your doctor for something a little less powerful than vicodin. They stop giving it because they don't want you to get addicted to it. Try some extra strength tylenol, or ask the doctor to prescribe you something specifically for headaches. I found excedrine headache worked wonders for my migraines and headaches. Discuss all your options with your doctor. You may also want to consider alternitive medicine, such as acupuncture or meditation to help with some of your symptoms.

I suffer severe headaches and was NEVER prescribed vicodin for it! Don't you want to know the reason for the headaches, not just put a band aid on the symptoms, but get to the reason behind them. And remember, never take someone else's meds, if your name isn't on the bottle, they were not meant for you. Maybe you need to see a neurologist.

You need to talk to your Dr.
I'm sure there are other meds out there that you could use for the pain.
If you used to get it like you said, then they probably took you off due to the addiction you were having.
As for the headaches you're having now..... it might just be the withdrawals. You'll survive.
Try ibuprofen.

maybe vicodin is not the answer. i suffer from migraine headaches & i don't take vicodin. my doctor prescribed imitrex & it's not a narcotic & non-addictive but it works great !!!!! i am assuming "they" are your doctor. maybe you should see if "they" will find out WHY your in such pain. then you can treat the cause & not just treat the symptom.

You need your headaches assessed properly and treated properly. If they stopped giving you a controlled substance then they must have had good reason to. To try and get the drug illegally means you are engaging in criminal actions.
If you can read and be on the computer then the headache is not debilitating.

You can get anything on the internet. But, remember....it's illegal! If the Doctor doesnt want you to have vicodin maybe its because you are getting addicted to it.

first of all never exagerate how much pain you are in to a doctor, they will never believe you. Some doctors will not prescribe narcotics to patients, unless it is absolutly necessary. you should ask for other alternatives. Also, if you are having migranes, only one type of medecide will work for them, and vice versa. Migraine medecine will not work for tension headaches
