I need to know where to find a place in GA (Atlanta or north of or even in NC at the border) to take used coats to.I want to donate some warm coats to the needy or homeless for winter. Can anyone help?

Check with your area's social service departments. A group I'm affiliated with here in CT does a coat drive and they are distributed through the Town of Montville social services and senior centers.

Many churches will take donations of "gently used" clothes, so call some churches. Many large malls/shopping centers have drop off boxes for the Salvation Army, United Way, etc...... St Vincent De Paul is another good one.

They should have a Goodwill or Salvation Army near by.
