On November 16, 1998, The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York successfully completed its conversion from a mutual life insurance company to a shareholder-owned company, a process called demutualization. In connection with the conversion, The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York's name changed to MONY Life Insurance Company.

MONY merged with AXA Financial, Inc., one of the premier U.S. providers of financial protection and wealth management, in July 2004. AXA Financial is a member of the global AXA Group.

I just did an AM Best search by that name . . . there IS no "Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York". So first you need to get the current name.

where in New York.. there are many places that carry it..just google the city and put quotes around mutual life insurance
i.e
"Mutual Life Insurance" mytown new york

Life insurance with cash value don't pay out cash value when you die! They say its a good way to build savings! How is that so if you lose it all and it doesn't go to anyone when you die? People say you can borrow it. Why do I want to borrow my own money that I paid for? Cash value = scams!
