We are going to be running all over ourselves to tell you that it's not free, legally. So, get Open Office by Sun Microsystems. It is an office suite that contains everything Microsoft's office has. The word processing program will open any Word document.

You can get Open Office which is a free version of applications very similar to Microsoft Office:

Microsoft office is a licensed one and hence it is not available for free. But there is something called as "Star Office", where you will find all the provision as in a MS office/word. Give a try, it is available for free in the net.

You can't, you have to purchase it. Or, you can do what I did and switch to OpenOffice, it IS free and can open, edit and save as Microsoft Office formats.

Or....to answer your question......find a friend or family member who has the OEM software cd's that came with an (old) computer...... simply install the software.....But be ready to flush your computer down the commode... if the LAW knocks on your door!

Hi. Yoi_55 is correct. OO is a nice alternative to MS software and has just about all of the MS Office functions.

You can get it for free, but it's illegal. There are places you can download it or you can borrow a friend's disc. Just don't get caught because there are serious consequences.
