as long as it's healed it should be fine. and a month seems like long enough. i have never had a tattoo that took that long to heal.

DO NOT PUT VASELINE ON ANY TATTOO! The petroleum in it will draw the ink out and your tattoo will look awful. Use bacitracin or a triple antibiotic ointment. You're safe to go into the hot tub.. just dont pick at any of the scab if it starts to get loose. Water based lotions and things are best.

calling the tattoo parlour is definitely not a bad idea. I'm assuming your tattoo is on the large side if the outline took three hours, but even on big ink, after a month the scabbing should probably all be gone. So my advice is this: If there are no scabs, it should be fine. one warning, your skin will be sensitive. I mean not just afterwards, you might not be comfortable in the hot water because of all the fresh skin. Once you´re done lotion it up and clean it properly as soon as you can, just in case.

I tend to agree for the most part...as long as it's healed, you should be fine to go into the hottub. But for goodness sake...DONOT use vaseline on it to protect it from the water...that would make one nasty mess in the hottub!! Left over detergent in suits or deodorant/lotion on skin makes enough of a mess, if someone had the nerve to get in my hottub with vaseline on their skin I think I'd have to beat some sense into them! ;)
My advice is just don't spend too much time in it...tattoo or not, all that heat WILL be very drying to your skin and definately use a good lotion when you get out. As far as a hottub being full of bacteria..I disagree. With the heat and the chemicals combined, no bacteria can survive. It's only when the chemical levels are out of whack that you would have to be concerned about getting some kind of infection from using a hottub!

It's fine to go in the hot tub after a month, like everyone else said put lotion on it after you get out and pat it dry. I'm not a fan of using vaseline but do whatever your tattooist told you when you first got it.

The hot tub should not hurt your tattoo the only time I was considered with mine was at the beach because of the salt water.

All you really need to put on it is moisturizing lotion. You should do this to your skin everyday anyway. I got a tattoo of a fairy on the back of my neck on my eighteenth birthday, and a month later, exactly, it was valentine's day and i went to a hot tub party. It's perfectly okay. I promise. Just put lotion on it.

You should be fine. I went in a hot tub 3 weeks after getting one of my tattoos and it was fine, but if you are really worried, don't do it.

It should be fine but the chemicals in the water might dry out your skin. I would just put on lotion after the hot tub.

I have two tattoos. One on my lower back. I would say it's ok, I mean it has been a month. Your tattoo should of peeled and healed by now. You should be fine. But if you want to put vaseline on it for safe measure that is fine too.
