I'm afraid that i won't make friends
(I'm shy and quiet so it's extra hard)
MOST times I don't know what to say to strike a conversation.

I get anxious in the morning and I feel my heartbeat more...

I'm afraid I'll get bullied and be too shy/scared to defend myself (I was bullied at my old school b4, and i didn't stand up for myself)

I'm afraid I'll be classified as "The Quiet ONe" again, i was called that many times at my old school

also i don't have ''nice clothes'' and haven't bought a new wardrobe since a few years ago, plus i'm kinda poor... i'll be going to a public school, wear ''clothes is important''

help! I HAVE SOCIAL ANXIETY, and i don't want to go to school because of it

I am in college now but when i was in high school i felt the same way...i finally went to see a doctor and he prescribed me an ssri like zoloft which reallly helped....i was like night and day...i went from being the "quiet kid" to being the class clown....even if you dont wanna go on medication...a doctor can help you deal with certain social situations better.....good luck and hang in there !!

Well...sounds like you need more help than a paragraph or two of web content could ever give you. Doubtlessly your school has some form of counseler, try talking to one of them.

But if you dont end up doing that, here's some advice: Just be friendly and nice and you're make friends. I was pretty shy when I started hs as well, it takes some practice to be social.

First of all not going to school is not going to make your anxiety better. You have to change the way you think - Write down some positive things about yourself and read the list over and over. Stop yourself from saying negative things about yourself. Don't dwell on the negative but concentrate on the positive.

That sounds like a hard place to be I suggest you find ways to calm yourself. You can have control if you really want to it may seem hard to gain control but you can really do it! Try to also find out what makes you feel so scared. Holding things like books and pens can help sometimes.

I don't think you need to have any kind of anxiety disorder to make you not want to go to a new school. Stop indulging yourself, and go to school. All you'll be doing by avoiding it is creating new problems for yourself. In the end life is hard, but who can you rely on? No one. Only yourself.

you don't need medication, you need to be around people more often, eventually you'll forget you were ever worried about what they think.

So you're obviously too shy to use a public computer.

Sell your computer and buy some clothes. Can't be very poor if you have internet access.

id est, nice try, but you aren't fooling very many.
