I just started having it 3 years ago or so and started having them at 44 yrs old... My older brother just started having them at 47 yrs old. I had a video eeg done, something on the left side of my brain causing them, they don't know why my brother gets them. We both get up to Grand Mal seizures. I'm still working on getting the right meds, with the least side effects.
I just wanted to know how are you handling them?
I'm still scared of my seizures, I have terribly frightening ones, and still having trouble with the meds.

I am 33 yo, and I have had my seizures for 26 years. I have been on many different types of medication, have done many tests. They have affected, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Especially when I was a teenager. I never got the chance to learn how to drive a car, never owned a car, or anything like that. So, I went through a deep depression and a series of rebellion for about 5 years.

I have petit-mal and Gran-Mal seizures. The petitmals are everyday. The gran-mal's are when I do not get enough sleep or other things.
The most important thing is to take your medicine. Try taking them same time everyday. Like take it at 9 am and 9 pm everyday. It works for me, my father-n-law, and my uncle-n-law.

Good luck to you I hope this works 4ya!
