There are many anti-Christs. If you read the epistles of John it clearly states this. Anyone who claims that Jesus of Nazareth is not the Christ is an anti-Christ.

Therefore, George W. Bush probably would not fit description.

1 John 2:18, 22
18a
"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come."
22
"Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Chirst. Such a man is the antichrist- he denies the Father and the Son."

He has all of the qualifications, but somehow I expected someone a lot smarter than he is.

I have come to understand that The anti Christ is not a person.

It is a term that is meant to be descriptive of the way certain pseudo Christians pretend to be followers of Jesus. People like Pat Robertson Jerry Fallwell and George Bush, They are a minority, but they are so vocal they drown out the rest.

Jesus always stood for a loving, inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to his fellow man.

The bigot pseudo Christians see their brand of Christianity as an exclusive club from which they judge all others as being unworthy of any fate other than burning in hell.

Their actions are almost the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

Hence the name antichrist, or opposite of Christ.

I doubt it. I am pretty sure that the anti-christ will be evil and a little crazy. although many think bush is wrong in what he does ,you cant deny that he has done everything he has set out to do. i mean, suddam is not in power anymore, no matter how much it cost he completed that mission. maybe we should look at hussien, he was evil or maybe hitler, but not bush.

No, because the anti-christ will come from a city that sits on 7 hills, & Washington DC does not sit on 7 hills, Only Rome does, Now try to figure who the anti-christ will come from, Yes, The Popes office. Maybe not the one now, But someone soon.
