I don't think the average American even realizes it is a religious holiday.

No, Valentine's Day is a Hallmark propaganda to promote shiny, pink material things, rather than love. I don't think many people think of this as a christian holiday anymore.

First i think that Valentines day was created to express our love towards those whom we care about, Second i believe that the holiday is exaggerated to boost the economy by selling products and to make money. Look at all the other holidays that have appeared to sell merchandise. It's not a religious holiday.

I had no idea one had to do with the other. I'm a Christian and I can't stand Valentine's Day. To me it's just another big sales day.

I am a Christian myself and to answer your question it's not. Valentine's Day has been around long before Christianity. That is kind of shady if there are Christians doing that.

I'm fairly certain valentine's day has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity and everything to do with card, candy and flower companies wanting to make lots and lots of money.

enable me answer it this kind.... actual Christianity is all about LOVE, so in gentle of that per chance it is a significant conspiracy to love on people. Jesus suggested that all the commandments are summed up in those 2: LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH all of your heart, SOUL, suggestions, AND power AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS your self. You, me and some thing else of the international ought to the thanks to attempt this because, enable's settle for it, we are egocentric people and it is troublesome to love others like we like ourselves and considering it takes faith to trust and love a God we can not bodily see - yet he does say that those those who trust and characteristic no longer seen will be blessed. i can not see the wind, germs, electricity, gravity, and many different issues. yet i can understand their outcomes. Likewise, i can not see God, yet i can see the outcome of God and his splendor in this international and in others like you. If people promote Christianity as some thing else, they are both attempting to earn some thing or promoting some thing ! satisfied VALANTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, it is not a christian holiday. Cupid came up with it to lure in nonbelievers.
