Unless you embrace Leviathanism http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjpRqJYcvk3ONOSC2rXBD4_d7BR.?qid=20070214080146AA5GqE3

I forgot to tell people about the horrific punishment for those who do not embrace the truth... say... little worms eating your flesh for all eternity... yeah that would do it.

Is this how religion evolved?

If my chances of salvation are infinitely small, but the reward for embracing leviathanism is infinitely large......any number multiplied by infiinity....blah blah....pascal wins again!!!

Only problem....I already worship the shiny eagle of buckingham.

Hell, what is it? it's simply mans common grave. Before Adam and Eve had sinned Jehoveah had warned them what will happen.

(Genesis 2:17) says, But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will die.

(Genesis 3:19) say's, In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return."

(Job 34:15) says, All flesh will expire together and earthling man himself will return to the very dust.

Again (Hell) is only mankind's common grave, not some little worm eating your flesh or burning up in fire.when reading the bible and it says that you will be thrown into the lake of fire, it simply is an illustration to say that you won't exist anymore, because you know that when you throw something into a fire it will be destroyed completely, if you destroy something with a hammer or any kind of object it may be restore. So isn't it better to throw it into a fire? (yes) so it's what (Jehovah) God wants to do with all wicked people to destroy them forever of the earth and the heavens.

That sounds horrible!!! I think id take my chances with Jesus, thanx very much.

Im going to heaven-you know that right? Because I gave my heart to Jesus. (Who by the way, loves u 2)
I have a massive list of reasons why I am a Christian.....u have just given me another one to add:

I dont wanna become a giant Leviathan with a serpentine (IS THAT SOME KIND OF ROCK??) body a million kilometres long which will tear a hole in space and time and escape the death of the Universe. It sounds bad and even harder to believe in.

Have u ever said what u believe in out loud? try it, ull hear ur self.

Pointing out the obvious, you are also going to hell by saying this. You are judging everyone here just by telling them what is planned for them, and from the bible, you don't have the right to judge anyone, because it is a sin, so you will go to hell.

I suppose what I am getting at, is that even though I don't care what you say and never believe in this 'hell', I'll meet you there, we can use satan's tail as a skipping rope, so long as you don't cheat.

No, religion evolved because people sought explanations for phenomena around them. Some of those explanations were that God or Gods were fiddling with things..e.g. thunder meant that god was angry.

Later, religion became a way of controlling Gods e.g. people wanted a better harvest and so would prey to God so that he (or her it etc) would help them.

More recently its become a great way of controlling people and has become a great political tool.

What candidate for election as President would dare say they werent religious?

The Almighty YHVH set up a system. He sent His “Son” YAHOSHUA to die for the sins of mankind so they would not have to. (They could choose to, but did not have to). Any person who chooses not to allow Yahoshua to take care of their sins, chooses to remain attached to their sins. They thus will wind up in the lake of fire which is YHVH's method of cleaning this world, and eliminating sin and sinners. The Creator set aside the Seventh day for rest and worship. Yes that is the day usually called “Saturday”. We are not saved by obedience, we are saved by faith. However we are saved FOR obedience. As He said in John 14:15 (and in many other places) “If you love me, keep my commandments.
