She just stares at me most of the time, like she's just waiting for me to screw her over.

Probably. You are suspect. Are you sure she is 7 months?

She is falling in love with her daddy! Daddy is VERY important to a little girl! Maybe she is just waiting for you to say something funny or she is waiting for you just to talk to her. They love to hear the voices of their parents and actually talking to them even about things that they have no clue about helps them learn! Her brain is like a sponge she soaks it all in. Say the alphabet while she stares at you. Recite a poem or the addition and subtraction facts, hold up pictures of animals talk in a foreign language if you know one. Get her off to a good start- I bet that's why she stares at you! And make it a point not to screw her over!
PS-Never tell a woman to let the hair(down there) grow!!!!!!! It's just not right!!!

She is looking at you because she is interested in the main person in her life- you. Don't read extra stuff into it. Consider it a wonderful honor and a privelege to have this opportunity to build a relationship with a child.

One of the best gifts you can give your kids (aside from love!) is to just talk to them. Just talk to her about whatever. The color of the wall, the light coming through the windows, the cuteness of her toes... just tell her about the world.

There is a book on extensive research about just this that demonstrates that those parents who spend time just telling their kids about the world end up with kids who are academically more successful.

When your child looks at you it means she sees you. See her back. Look for everything that is right about her. Don't spend a lot of time thinking about what she does that you don't like- concentrate on the wonder and joy that she is. (Obviously get help if she seems ill, but if she seems suspicious, let that thought go. She isn't. She is a baby to whom everything in the world is new.)

Have you given her any reason to be suspicious of you. When you leave her do you tell her bye. Do you sneak up on her to give her medicine. There may be something that you do that causes her to look at you that way. Or maybe she just looks like that. Maybe she saw you on America's Most Wanted.

No, she just loves you very much, you are the one who cares for her, she is staring to discover new things about you and is studying hard to figure them all out. Enjoy her, don't be so anal!

No, she's just watching, and learning and loving her mommy or daddy. What would she be suspect of? Babies don't even comprehend that stuff at that age!

nope, she's just curious about her world and right now, you're a pretty big part of her world. She's trying to figure you out, along with everyone else.

It's more like she is trying to figure out who you are. Make her laugh, goofy faces, or silly noises. She loves you!
