I think there are 3 possibilities in regard to this:

1. God is non-existent
2. God has a plan but it is inherently flawed because he isn't as smart, competent or loving as we hope he is.
3. God is sitting back and watching us like I watch my favorite movie or TV show, enjoying the ride like you said.

God is an imaginary thing, so to answer your question; if you are enjoying the ride, than so are all your imaginary friends. They can only do what you tell them to do in your imaginary world.

God the architect is planning more. Tomorrow he will wave his hand and a singularity goes boom- a new Universe. Then on Friday, zap he will perform an Evolution and another solar system will produce people

God does have a plan for us. It's not for us to question why or how. But just enjoy. And pray for guidance and he will guid you. He loves you. Have the faith. Thats what it's all about anyway. FAITH

The thing is, if we have free-will, then God can't have a plan for us.

If GAWD doesnt know what we are going to do, then he is'nt all knowing.

If he isnt all knowing, then he isnt all powerful.

You can't have "free-will" and a all-knowing GAWD, because its contradictory.

God has a BIG plan!

His plan is revealed to us all throughout His Word.

But, we have plans, too. And if we abide in Him, He will direct our steps.
