Jesus stated:
"He that has seen me has seen the Father. . ." John 14:9
Therefore, examine Jesus' personnality and we have a fine idea about God.
Hebrews 1:3 adds regarding Jesus "He is the reflection of his glory and the exact representation of his very being,. . ."
That's as close as we will ever get.

The interesting thing about Jesus (as others have already said) is that he came as a carpenter's son rather than as a priest or child of a leader in the community. His whole town and region was looked down on. The bible describes him as nothing special to look at. He was your average Joe, blue collar guy. If he had come to America, he would have been from some nowhere town in a middle-America state.

He would be ordinary looking, like Bill Gates or Josh Groban, not devilishly handsome (too much temptation).
He would be very smart and wise.
He would be a straight male (not gay).
He would be hard working, employed having his own business perhaps.
He would be generous, fair and just.
He would be kind to children, respectful to the elderly, and unbiased towards people of color.
He would NOT be materialistic.
He would NOT be someone that everyone wants to hang out with (just those who are close in nature to him).
He would be a loyal friend and give his life for them if he had to.

People have the idea that god is a separate being because this image has been portrayed by the bible for centuries and society accepts it, but that is just another mythology. The real god isn't separate from anything

To your dog, you are God.
Proof:
you can open the front door; he cannot.
You can open a can of dog food; he cannot.
To be a God, a person or personage must be extremely more advanced (technologically) than those that refer to him as God.
God is probably so much more advanced than us (scientifically, and technologically) that he could probably appear in any form that his technologies could create.
Of course, in the case of The Bible God, our God, he made us in his image, and he sent his son, Jesus, to teach us the way to get along with each other and to teach us how to be acceptable to be good neighbors in Heaven.
