The Adult Protective Services help the Elderly that are being abuse, but who helps the person who is being abused by the elderly??? I know someone who is stressed out and afraid to even
go to her own home, where she has her mother living with her. Is there any kind of assistance here for this type of situations? Tnis person is really a sweet person who took her mother in to live with her after her mom was hospitalized, and insisted she didn't want to live alone. Her other daughters didn't take her, and it looks like none of her children want to take her. It appears that both mother and daughter are not happy together...

Sorry adult protective services usually are for the protection of the elderly and disabled adults in abusive or neglected situations.
Is mom in good enough shape to live unassisted. If not there are plenty of assisted living facilitys.
Mom is abusing her daughter, and there is no excuse for that.
Yes she gave birth to and raised said daughter, but that is not an excuse for intentional abuse. She may be going into sanility or alzhiemers. Get her to a doctor for an evaluation. If that is not the case mom needs to move out,
Pronto.
Like it or not older people were raised in big familys, so that there was someone to do the chores and be sure someone was there to care for mom/dad in thier declining years.
Usually, the youngest child. My Moms dad, told my mom that was her position from a very young age.
The daughter is intitled to a life and deserves it.
She tried and is the abuse victim.
Its time to cut the apron strings.
Oh, I am not anti- old people. I took care of both my parents, and I regret it at the same time am glad I did it.
I am now doing the things at 41 I should have done at 21, including raising small children. I have health problems.
children who do not understand why mom isn't up to the fun stuff.
BUT I WILL NOT LAY GUILT TRIPS ON MY KIDS SO I WILL HAVE A CARE TAKER LATER ON.
Everyone is stressed out. HER MOM NEEDS TO STRAIGHTEN UP OR MOVE OUT.
