Cthulhu is just being fair in his treatment of both good and bad people and he only helps amputees that help themselves.

I'm assuming this a joke question.

Cthulhu, and the entire pantheon, was invented by H.P. Lovecraft as a backdrop for his fiction horror universe. Other stars include the jibbering Nyarlathotep, Yog-Sothoth, and Dagon. The Conan chronicles, as well as many other writers have made excellent use of this system, esp. August Derleth, who has a very thorough analysis of the entire creation, which has helped expand it far beyond it's original scope. Indeed, when I was first meeting other pagans, I met practicing wizards who have told me the story of the Necronomicon in perfect seriousness. I don't know if they were trying to fool me or themselves. I must have laughed myself silly when I first saw a copy on a bookstore shelf in a scaaary cover. Maybe it's a great read... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu_Mythos

Because he's EVIL. Jeez, I thought everyone knew that lol. You need to re-read your Necronomicon for Dummies, then you will know the truth about the great and powerful Cthulhu....
