In India, the Bollywood film industry is very popular. It has a lot of Muslim actor/actresses in it. They have been very succesful. However, I think about it. Are they considered Muslim. First they are not practising Muslims. Secondly most of them have done intermarriages with people of different religious groups. They dont convert their spouses. They celebrate many non Islamic festival.sThey have basically assimilated with the society. Why they call themselves Muslims. When looking at India's relationship with the muslim community,should they considered. I would personally look at the masses who are practising ones

There is quite a large population in Turkey that lives close to what you explain above and they are not even celebrities. Yet many people who openly go against orders of Islam consider themselves to be Muslim.

You are considered to be Muslim as far as you think you are. The only small trick is to accept the rules of Islam, not keeping them would not make you non-Muslim. Who can keep all the laws of Islam without any sins anyway. We cannot decide who is a good Muslim and who is not. After all Muslim people believe it will be Allah who will judge who was a good servant and who was not. Let's not start the judgement day here and not start a witch hunt to classify people practicing Muslim, non-practicing Muslim, unbeliever etc. Fortunately, this is not necessary in these days.

Finally, if anybody in the world would say they are Muslim and accept the basic rules of Islam, I would consider this person as Muslim.

And it is not up to your or me to judge them or their actions. They may practice or they may choose not to. In the end, everyone will be judged on their actions and their actions only. You won't be asked why others do certain things. So don't worry about others and worry about yourself....

All of them is muslim in name and muslim coz they are born muslim. They usually not practise islam at all but coz of the name but usualy the admit they dnt practise islam at all.

i cannot understand why some people examine other's people religion. They are considered Muslim or not, so what is this with your business? What is the advantages or disadvantages for me, for you, for other people?

It's a matter of personal opinion. If they still have the beliefs, then yes they would. If not, then no.
