If he is almighty, then why are we not living in paradise? Does GOD hate us? Is he an angry and vindictive god? How long must we pay for Eves mistake?

I have read your answers, but when I see a child die of cancer, I can't help but think our God is a big asshole.

Don't blame everything bad on an imaginary God. Bad things happen because bad people cause them to happen.
Wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to work or plan for anything - - - just say a prayer, and there it is.
Please don't expect God or anyone else to do what each of us should be doing ourselves.

In a sense God allows these things, but it is Satan who is causing these things to happen. God has given Satan free reign over the earth, which means he doesn't interfere with his actions. God does not perform miracles, if he did, good things would happen to his followers all the time. As a matter of fact Satans entire argument was that people were only loyal to God because he gave us everything. The bible says if we believe we will be persecuted by the non-believers. So I don't understand why people still have this notion that if something good or bad happens it is the work of God. God has given Satan 100% control over every act on this earth, that means everything that occurs is Satans work. We are only here to choose Satans way or Gods way. It is that simple. ;-)

maybe we should realize that although god is merciful, he is also a jealous god. and when we turn against him, he becomes upset. we should not forget that god flooded the entire known world and only noah and a few were left after that. why?? to cleanse the world of all the bad things. so why can't god do now, what he did then, punish and test the people. we should remember that god will test us, but will never put us through anything we cannot bear. God knows our limits and will not push us over that, it may come close, and it may seem impossible for us, but with christ all things are possible

Because the Bible says.... just kidding. I believe its because God has a plan. I think part of the plan is to allow these things for a while. A short while really. And for a good purpose. Also, paradise is coming in God's good time, according to his plan and time table.

Adam and Eve sinned, and bc of our spiritual connection to them, we suffer under the Curse. The only one who can claim they shouldn't be suffering is someone who hasn't sinned.

When God asked Cain where Abel was, and he replied "am I my brother's keeper?" the reasons that's in there are, one, he said it, and two, to make the point that you ARE your brother's keeper, you are responsible for one another. Whether we like it or not, we are all connected to each other spiritually, and God will ask us whether we tried to tell those we have contact with about Him. It is bc of this connection that we suffer under the Curse. Not only do we suffer for our own sin, but we also live with the effects of their sin bc of our spiritual connection to one another.

God will return and destroy this Earth and create a new one, in which there will be no death or disease, or any pain or suffering, but until then, we still suffer under the Curse.

If we lived in paradise, being waited on hand and foot...how could we grow or progress? You've seen how rich, spoiled kids turn out. You think God wants His kids to turn out that way?

This life isn't about paying for Eve's mistake. It's about fulfilling God's purpose for us: To gain immortality and eternal life. To become as He is. This latter is a fairly radical concept for most apostate, "mainstream" christians. However, it is the truth.

We are all in a giant petri dish and God is just experimenting with us. God doesn't care either way. Trust in Betty Bowers.

Don't blame God, blame Satan! That bothers me when I hear acts of God. They should print acts of Satan instead because all bad things are from the work of Satan. The only thing God don't like is ugly.

God is Love. Obey and love him back in return.
