Thanks for all your answers. I think I'll go with something "appley" since it seems to be the concensis.

Also, the rice pudding would be a really good suggestion too...I wish my guy liked rice pudding but he's kinda picky.

Thanks everyone and Happy Valentines!

How about rice pudding? If your chili is spicy, this is a delicious and soothing way to finish off the meal.
this is a great recipe-
2 inches cinnamon sticks
lime zest (green only, 2 inch wide strip by 3 inches long-so it's quite a chunk)
1 cup rice
1 quart milk
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 large egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup golden raisins
1 teaspoon unsalted butter, chopped
ground cinnamon

1-Bring 2 cups water to a boil, add cinnamon stick and lime zest, cover and simmer for 5 min.
2-Add the rice and return to a boil, stir once, cover and cook for 20 min.
3-Stir in the milk, sugar and salt and simmer over medium low heat, stirring frequently until the liquid shows the first signs of thickening, around 20 min or so.
4-Take from the heat and remove the cinnamon and zest.
5-Beat the egg yolks until runny, stir in the vanilla and a few T. of the hot rice mix (temper it), then add to pot. Stir well.
6-Mix in half the raisins, then spoon the rice pudding into a 8 inch square baking dish.
6-Preheat the broiler and dot the top of the pudding with the butter.
7-Broil 3-4 min, sprinkle with cinnamon and remaining raisins and serve warm.

Disgustingly Rich Brownies

Yield: 16 brownies

Ingredients:

2 cubes (1 cup) butter
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Preparation:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, then smear the inside of an 8 or 9-inch baking pan with shortening.

Melt the butter over a low heat. Watch it. It’s easy to burn.

In your mixing bowl, stir the cocoa and sugar together. Then stir in the melted butter. Add the eggs and vanilla, and stir again. Now add the flour and salt, and mix just until smooth. Not too much. (If you’re adding walnuts, now’s the time.)

Scrape the mixture out into the greased pan and spread out in an even layer.

Bake in a 350-degree oven until the brownies just begin to pull away from the sides of the pan (or until you can stick a toothpick in and pull it out with no batter sticking to it). Takes about 60 to 65 minutes. Let cool before cutting.

I would make apple crisp with ice cream or whipped topping or even baked apples.
For the apples, wash a good apple like (Gala, golden delicious) Core out center, fill with brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped nuts if wanted, dab with a bit of butter and bake in 375 oven for about 20 mins. Sooo good - and easy.

Kiwi Strawberry Torte

Ingredients:
1 pint strawberries
2 kiwi fruit
1/4 cup strawberry syrup
1 (10 3/4-ounce) frozen reduced fat pound cake
8 ounces fat free vanilla pudding (2 individual cups)

Method:
1. Wash strawberries, cut stems off and cut into bite-size pieces. Place in medium mixing bowl.
2. Cut ends off kiwi and peel. Quarter kiwi, cut into bite-size pieces and add to strawberries. Add strawberry syrup and mix. Refrigerate.
3. Remove cake from pan and place on microwave-safe plate (may be paper). Microwave on high for 1 minute.
4. Cut cake in half widthwise, then in half horizontally, making 4 equal cakes. Place 1 cake on each serving plate.
5. Divide pudding equally on top of each cake. (This step may be completed just before serving.)
6. Divide strawberry mixture equally over pudding. Serve.

I'd go with a simple ice cream dessert. Like a hot fudge sundae or a banana split. They're not only cold, but they're comfort food like the chili and cornbread, very homey.
