What is good about bashing other people's beliefs? I say nothing, but that is a minority view in this forum. Is it better to promote your own ideas while trying to understand the other people? Could that happen more?

I have no problem with honest disagreement. It is the guys who are only trying to be jerks, without a purpose, that I avoid.

Publicly saying that you do not believe in something ISN'T bashing.

Just "respecting other people's beliefs" has gotten people into a mess of stress. The emperor is naked, and we should now more than ever be pointing that out. Religious beliefs are NOT immune to criticism, scrutiny, or even ridicule.

Respecting a person is one thing.
Respecting absurd ideas is another.
