Corn, Hotdogs, or anything junk-food like. Carp are bottom-feeders, and they pretty much eat anything. I usually use hotdogs. Have also caught them on worms, but that wasn't what I was fishing for. Don't forget to use a sit-on-the-bottom rig, like a jig, or if you are using the bobber method, make sure the bait is at least close to the bottom. Also, if you see them near the top of the water, that means they're sunning themselves, and they're probably not hungry anyway.

Carp are very gluttonous fish and can be caught on anything. I think that Cambells Meatballs in gravy or tomato sauce are fantastic. A few tins should do you for a session.
Catfood chunks are also very good.

Go out and buy yourself some white grublike soft plastic bait, cut it into round flat pieces, chum the water with oatmeal and throw out your little white grub cuttings on a small hook.
This works well with mullet and carp.
Also canned corn works fairly well too.

tutti fruity boillies on a hair rig with a pv bag with more tutti bollies on the hook. so the bag disolves right around your hook.. also bait the swim up with pelet,
for smaller carp, luncheon meat & corn. in the summer steam doggy biscuits so they float & catch them on the surface.

My dad used to take Velveeta, plain old cheap white bread and a bit of raw hamburger mush it all together, roll it into balls and refridge them until firm. He used to catch tons of carp that no one ever ate.

if there are ducks about then use bread-people feed the ducks & the fish will start feeding on the bread.
Make sure that the bread is well sunken & weighted otherwise you might end up catching a duck-not good!
