There are lots of good Bible names for boys and girls! If you have time before the child is born, do read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and find a name that really speaks to you. Don't just read to find a name but read to find out how the heavenly Father wants to help you raise your precious child.

When my daughter was pregnant with her first child I knew she and her husband were going to pick a Biblical name and talked about Andrew. I really liked that because even though not very much is said about Andrew, we do know that he brought people to Jesus.

I was disappointed when my daughter said they wanted a less common name than Andrew. I was planning to use the name as my personal nickname for my grandson until I learned that he was to be named Caleb. Caleb was a man of great faith.

Look at the meanings of names - for instance Samuel means I asked God for you.

For girls there is Sarah/Sara, Rebecca (in various spellings), Rachel, Ruth, Esther, Mary, Priscilla, Lois etc.

I named my son after Moses' two right hand men. his name is Joshua Aaron.none of the female names in the Bible fit my daugher so she was named Jessamyn Lynn.
