Not easier in particular, just more fun. Face it, most of us are a bit nuts.

With all the planets and galaxies out there (not sure how many, but I know its a whole whole lot), I think it I probable that there are other planets out there with intelligent life. Why should earth be the only one? As for whether those lifeforms are intelligent and advanced enough to travel across the galaxy to reach us, that is unlikely, but possible. It's sure a lot more probable than believing in a God that is totally imperceptible, non-organic and occupies a spiritual realm of reality that there is no good reason to believe exists. And by the way, I don't believe in ghosts.

I think it depends on what you mean by aliens. I don't believe in Ghosts at all.
If by alien, do I believe that somewhere else in the universe there is other life? I do.
Do I believe that the other life comes here in saucers and kidnaps people? I don't.
I seriously doubt, given the distances, that we will ever see another life form. But what are the odds, in a Universe the size of our's, that we are the only life?

Actually, I've found that people who believe in ghosts tend to believe that there is also a God. Also, many of us believe that aliens exist, because it's rather arrogant to assume that earth is the only planet in this vast universe that has any form of intelligent life.

Dear Shelinay2,
This is just a hunch.
People want to be in control but do not want to be obedient.
People can control their thoughts regarding aliens and ghosts that make no demands on them since they are not real.
The awesome uncreated Creator of the universe however is real and does make commands to His creation.

Because believing in Aliens and Ghost doesn't actually mean you have to change your view of the world or your behavior.

Well, most that believe in Ghosts or Aliens believe in a different God of the bible.
They believe in the fuzzy nice non judgmental god.

The existence of aliens and ghosts is not a threat to egocentrism (man's self-centered nature), but God is.

Aliens and ghosts make special "guest appearances" on camera. Whereas God does not.

I am pretty sure that isn't the case. Sources?
Unless you mean aliens in the sense that life forms exist somewhere in the universe in which case its because thats quite likely.

to believe in ghosts takes no commitment. to believe in GOD you must admit you are a sinner and that you are not living the proper way.
it is the same reason those (same) people do not believe in miracles; to admit they are real would be admitting there is a GOD. most folks like to live in their own narrow minded world.
