I would say, see how the guy treats his mom and sister. That is how he will treat you. If you don't like it, move on. What would you say?

make sure that person is the missing piece to the puzzle, the one you can look at first thing in the morning when you open your eyes, and the person you don't mind cleaning up after, the person who isn't perfect and the person you fight with, but the person you cannot live without, and the person you have to at least have 1 toe on when you fall asleep even if you're mad as hell at each other, because you need to know they are there. Thats the person you marry

I would advice you from experience that it is not as simple as it seems or sums up to be you are the one who will make it. There is a fact where however he treats his mother and sister is the way that he would treat you because it shows his respect towards women.
I would say if you love him and he loves, respects, understands, compromise as well as communicated with you then I would say go for it! Love is a crazy thing and you should keep this in mind.
But don't measure all on what he does with his mother and sister or I should say the women in his life that has some significance because that only measures his respect towards women but measure how he speaks to you and treats you.
Is he marriage material or not?
That's up to you!

Make sure you have had enough time to know everything about him, and sort out any problems you might have. If these things don't surface until after the marriage it will be a lot harder to fix them

Pay attention and study......
The way he treats you in public, alone, around his friends.
How you feel with him and when you aren't with him.

How similar your views are on major things such as having and raising children.

The way you fight with each other and the ways you make up.

How often do you compromise vs. how often he does.

How you really feel about him. (are you settling?)

How does he treat others, waiters, your friends, your family, his friends and family, animals, strangers, cashiers.....?

Is he alright just the way he is, or do you plan on changing something about him? Don't ever go into a marriage thinking you can change something that you don't like. He is what he is, you can't change that.

Don't do it. Marriage is unnecessary. It's much more rewarding to be independent. You don't need a man in your life.

I'd say - if you're seriously contemplating it, start saving money today.
