I'm cooking lasagna for dinner today, but there won't be enough for everyone on its own, rather than make 2 lasagnas I was wondering what goes well with lasagna that could be served with it?

Cesar salad and garlic bread.

A nice salad, and lots of garlic bread. A dessert would finish it off
Also you could make some appetizers before everyone eats dinner, that way that won't be gorging on the lasagna..

Definitely serve a nice tossed salad full of veggies. Then I would have green beans and garlic bread with the lasagna. For dessert, I think chocolate brownies would be a nice ending to your great meal. Good luck.

Yes, like everyone else said, garlic bread and salad. OR you could do instead of the salad, (or in addition to the salad) some sort of other vegetable - like green beans just sauteed with a little butter.

Also if you wanted a second main course dish then shrimp is always good with lasagna, or roasted salmon.

I serve breaded chicken or trukey cutlets as a side dish or maybe some grilled italian sausage ? Always have an antipasto (entree) provolone cheese, artichoke hearts, cold cuts and melon before serving the main dishes. Also have a nice salad with balsamic vinegar and definitely lots of crusy italian bread.

Enjoy.

Minestrone soup is more filling than a salad, but you could do both. And you HAVE TO serve some sort of bread with lasagna. Make sure it's saucy enough for dipping.

How about another pasta dish like an alfredo or carbonara? That way there's a choice between red and white sauces. Or you can just stuff everybody with the salad and bread so they won't eat as much lasagna. :)

Assuming that you are going to have a salad with that already, if you are considering a second entree i would stick with something italian like stuffed shells or ziti. Perhaps even a Fettucini Alfredo.
