I just can't figure out what are hints or not. I knew she liked me a few months back though. Gave her a rose today and she came up, punched my shoulder and said thanks, but i was frozen.
Its elementary and I guess i gotta grow some balls and take a risk, but id like for it to be as smooth as possible? Please help! I'm afraid of rejection and all that mumbo jumbo so anything useful is appreciated.

Well, don't make it too late. In fact, the next time you see her, ask her. Girls like to be asked, and it sounds like she thinks you are a nice guy, and since she did like you a while back, it means that you still have a chance. I'm sure, (if she doesn't have on now) she will say yes, and once you do, you'll feel alot more relaxed and satisfied, even if she rejects you.
Like the saying,
"Man who turns knob opens door",
Ya gotta turn the knob, or someone else will.

You're right - just grow some balls and ask her. Know what? All girls stress over having a prom date, the earlier you ask her, the better - that way she can stop stressing. As far as smoothness, just ask her - she'll be so glad you asked she'll be convinced the invite was delivered smoothly even if you think it wasn't.

First of all how old are you and the young lady. And it does sound like she may have a crush on you too. But, the only way you are going to find out is if you ask. There are only two things she can say yes or no. And if you just don't ask then you will never know which one it was.

Look you better man up and ask b/c she might get asked by someone else and then you will regret not asking sooner... Just realize that the sooner you ask the sooner you can relax. Besides if she says no it gives you plenty of time to find someone else to go with you...Go up to her with confidence and ask her if she has plans already for the prom... See what she says and then say well plans are to go with someone really sweet and beautiful and I would love if that girl would be you...and then smile and see what she says...Besides if you don't ask you are not only avoiding rejection but also avoiding acceptance as well.

if you know she likes you than just ask her. I know you're afraid of rejection but in love you have take a risk. After all you don't know what she might say. If you never ask you may never know.

Hand her a rose when you're ready to ask her to the prom and she'll as you "what's this for, it's not Valentines day?" So you say, "I know, but it's a special day for me, because I want you to go with me to the prom"
Don't ask her, tell her you want her to be with you!

Just ask her. There is no wrong way to do it. "Would you like to go to Prom with me?" Keep it simple. If she says no, you'll be okay. Rejection is a part of life, you have to learn how to deal with it.

sounds like shes just a "friend" since she punched you but here's an idea that i would personally love.. get flowers delivered to school and write in the card.."Prom??" and sign your name. she would LOVE that or just straight up ask her in person or on the phone! good luck!

Go with something cute? buy a few goldfish (all gold) and then buy one black one and put them all in the same bowl... then write out something like " of all the fish in the sea, you're the one for me.... PROM? "

You could punch her in the arm and be like "Hey, you wanna go to the prom with me?", make it casual....it doesn't have to be formal and weird.....either way it comes off friendly and.....friends go to the prom together
