It's my nature to eat cheeseburgers but I sometimes have a salad.

JC: That's word play. In my case I was not doing something outside my nature then because it was my nature to sometimes have salads. You are saying anything god does in in his nature. So if it was outside and he does it, then it really must have been inside.

Do you not understand that you are defining "his nature" to mean "anything he does" so that what you are really saying is the "he can't do things other than what he does". No kidding! That is a useless concept.

If you ask Him to change your nature He will.

There is a difference between tendency and character.

God is ALWAYS in Character. He is ALWAYS WHO HE IS. He can not do anything outside the bounds of his character. Because HIS Character defines WHO he is.

When we act against our own personal characteristics, then we do not have true character.

God is a being of perfect integrity of Character.

LOL

I don't think you are quite grasping the concept of one's "nature" with your cheeseburger vs salad analogy. ;-)

Salads and cheeseburgers are neutral.

Try killing your friends...is it in your nature to kill your friends?

No...then will you go do it now?

You can not go against what is in your own deepest nature either.

As for people who do kill - they do not recognize their true nature (do not know themselves) and/or are not true to themselves. It is not in our nature to kill each other - deep down, we know it is wrong.

Your nature is your true being...and if you are true to yourself - you could not go against your nature.

God is always true to Himself...and knows Himself...so He always does what is His nature.
