how much should i tip the person? im going to ruth chris steak house tonight and i dont know how much to tip him.

Self park. The "inconvenience" of parking yourself is a much better deal than getting your car dinged or even stolen by someone who you gave the key to.
If you are set on using valet parking though, I would think $5 would be an appropriate tip.

I usually give two bucks or three if you feel like it. If it is a very small place maybe 5.
