I don't know, but I remember my father doing something very clever when I was about 7 years old. We were eating dinner and he said real casual like - "Hey, did you know the world is supposed to end today?"
"No. Aren't you scared?" I asked
"Not really. People predict that sort of thing all the time." He then when back to eating his steak and not worrying about it.
That conversation had a great impression upon me and I have never taken predictions like that seriously.
