There is a lot of hype out there about how bad coconut oil is for you. If you do believe it is bad for you, why? have you ever researched it for yourself? If you found out you were wrong and it really was healthy for you would you start using it?

Coconut oil is not well researched, and not widely available.

I always get a little nervous at claims that foods that require any form of processing, even mechanical pressing, or that would not have been available to early man, are magically good for you. A lot of things can help LDL, etc. but this does not make them a 'superfood', or worth seeking out.

Coconut oil is one of the plant oils that is saturated. Most plant oils are unsaturated. That is why you have heard it is bad for you. saturated fats are bad for the arteries. I avoid it if I have a choice I try to use as little fats as possible. . I have researched it in a lab.
