How do those that have been punished for something they did not do, cope?

A good example would be people wrongfully imprisoned for crimes not committed. How do they get thru each day? What to do?

It happened to someone I know.
He got through it by his faith in God.
Why did God allow it? We may never know.
But, God got him through it.
