I want a dvd cloning software program that will copy any dvd. I want to back up my dvd collection that I already have. I don't want my wonderful children to ruin anymore dvds that I own

Regular DVDs are 8.5 Gb, whereas the DVD-recordables are usually 4,7 Gb (there are also 8.5 DVD recordables out there, but they cost a heck of a lot more).
Download DVDShrink, a freeware program that will allow you to remove any unnessary "clutter" from the DVD and burn it to a 4,7 Gb disc.

I use DVD shrink. It not only copies a DVD, but also allows you to remove junk that you don't want, like previews, etc, which is a Godsend for children's DVD that ALWAYS seem to be packed with them. Oh, and it's also FREE!!!

dvd decrypter ( to put dvd's onto computer)
Dvd shrink ( to shrink the dvd's to fit onto a dvd-5)
Fix VTS
Ripit4me(breaks copyprotection on newer dvd's)
ImgBurn(burn the dvd)

look for guides to help you use these programs to copy dvd's

I use DVD-XCopy Platinum, been using it for years, and has the quickest copy rate I've found.
